Curriculum

The ALI curriculum has developed into two Phases with focused content in order to adequately equip and develop the leaders we train and for it to be accredited by the Namibian Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the future. These phases with the specific focus areas include:

 
PHASE 1
 
Week 1
  • Understanding Africa
  • Understanding Leadership
  • Understanding and loving yourself
  • Discovering my unique life’s purpose
 
Week 2
 
  • Knowledge & skills to build character
  • Leadership skills to build teams
  • Leadership skills to get-the-job-done
  • Personal skills to live with financial freedom
 
Week 3
 
  • Knowledge & skills to take responsibility for further personal development
  • Writing of an comprehensive Action plan to fulfil my God-given purpose in life.
  • Personal interviews to clarify Action plans and stimulate continuous growth
  • Further information on the challenges in Africa and how we should address them
  • The week is concluded in the presence of invited guests and the handing out of Certificate of Attendance.
 
Marriage Enrichment Seminar
 
The Marriage Enrichment Seminar is a unique part of the training that addresses a major need close to root of the challenges we face in society today. Dawie & Chrisna Fourie has put together powerful yet practical material from their experiences during their married life that proved helpful to many married couples during the past. The Marriage Seminar is part of the ALI training as we believe that leadership starts by leading yourself and your family.

Singles will have the opportunity to attend a uniquely developed Relationship Seminar that focuses on relationship challenges and key principles in building strong cross-gender relationships.
 
  
PHASE 1 also includes: discussions on all presented sessions, various ministry/ evening sessions, 15 powerful devotions, reading of 5 leadership books, completion of 8 questionnaires, an intense mentoring program and wonderful fellowship with colleagues during meals and break times.
 
 
PHASE 2
 
This part of the ALI curriculum is developed to raise the leadership abilities of the leaders we train to ensure even greater sustainable results. This takes place more than a year after the completion of PHASE 1 and also places ALI in a position to be accredited by the NQA.
 
Weekend 1
 
  • Bringing transformation through networking between ALI leaders from different schools
  • Topics covered (amongst others) by Nationally and Internationally renowned faculty:
    • Leadership excellence through case studies and decision making tools
    • How to increase your wisdom and make a bigger difference
    • Understanding God's part and my part
    • The supernatural power of the transformed mind (Part 1)
 
Weekend 2
 
  • Building on sustainable transformation through leaders with the Bible as foundation and Jesus as example
  • Topics covered (amongst others) by Nationally & Internationally renowned faculty:
    • Action Based Leadership
      • Passionate rulership
      • Advanced financial/money matters
      • Skills for a victorious life
      • Disciplined leadership
      • The supernatural power of the transformed mind (Part 2)
 
Weekend 3
 
  • Focusing on transforming Namibia and beyond through leadership development and strategic influence in key sectors of society
  • Topics covered (amongst others) by Nationally and Internationally renowned faculity:
  • The role of the church, education, government, business and us in Africa
    • My role in transforming Africa
      • The Labour Act and the Bible in building teams with soft hearts, tough minds, upright characters and skillful hands
      • The supernatural power of the transformed mind (Part 3)
      • Endurance
 
  
Follow-up Marriage Enrichment Seminar
 
After travelling the world for 9 months in 2009, visiting many countries, influential leaders and ministries in the world, Dawie and Chrisna Fourie was challenged with the importance of marriage as a cornerstone in society.
 
With the knowledge and exposure they have had in 2009 they have therefore constructed this follow-up Marriage Enrichment Seminar to build a sustainable society through healthy marriages and strong families.
