As you may have heard the board of Transformation Namibia has appointed a new general overseer, Past. Stephan Nell as from 1 January 2008. Transformation Namibia is a process supporting the Namibian Dream where it is believe that God’s glory will shine from East to West and from North to South and His glory and knowledge will cover Namibia like the waters cover the see (Hab. 2:14 and Ish. 11:9).

It does not take long to list the ills in our society. Traditional family values have declined. There is little respect for authority. Consumerism is rampant. The populace claims to be spiritual, but the prevailing worldview is godless. Sexual immorality is the norm. Decisions in government and business are not made by biblical standards. Violence, crime, drugs, and ethnic animosity are growing. Respect for life – unborn, sick and aged- has diminished. The entertainment industry promotes promiscuity. Work ethics suffer and people prefer their rights and choices over the interest of others and the will of God.

The process of bringing on a transformed Namibia where people of all communities and societies prosper because they live God’s love, came a step closer to being realized when two main driving forces behind this dream – Disciple Namibia and Transformation Namibia – recently merged.
